Where I’ve Been (and Where We’re Going Next)
Hey, Digital Natives—miss me?
I know, I’ve been a little quiet lately. But silence doesn’t mean nothing’s happening. Quite the opposite. I’ve been deep in the trenches, working on a few projects that I think you’re going to love. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s coming your way:
1. Building Something Real (Literally)
I’ve been knee-deep in real estate development, laying the foundation—both literally and figuratively—for what could become a true community for the digital natives. Not just a place, but a home for the ideas we talk about here. More on that soon.
2. Sailing the Ocean (of Personality Theory)
You know I love the Big Five personality traits. Well, I’ve been working on a new framework called “Sail the OCEAN”—a way to make the Big Five more intuitive, useful, and actionable. It’s a personality theory that doesn’t just describe who you are but helps you navigate where you’re going. I’ll be publishing it here soon, so stay tuned.
3. Lessons From My Favorite Teachers
I’ve also been collaborating with three of my all-time favorite teachers:
Patty Hofer (Third grade teacher, musician, camp-vibes queen)
Michelle Nash (Quirky, brilliant, taught me English three times)
Stephanie Johnson (High school counselor, peer counseling wizard)
Each of them has written something special about their time teaching—what they learned, what they still carry with them. These reflections are touching, profound, and full of wisdom. I’ll be sharing them with you soon.
So yeah, I haven’t disappeared. I’ve just been busy building, thinking, and collaborating. And now, I’m bringing it all back to you.
Watch this space. Big things ahead.
